Working at Heights
This CPO-approved Working at Heights course provides the practical knowledge required to work safely at heights in Ontario. Learners participate in hands-on equipment and setup exercises while reviewing safe practices and procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
- Full Course: 6.5 hours
- Refresher Course: 4 hours
- Certification Validity: 3 years from successful completion
Module 1: Basic Theory
Rights and responsibilities, hazard recognition, fall protection hierarchy of controls, personal fall arrest equipment, warning systems, physical barriers, ladders, and fall arrest components.
Module 2: Practical Equipment
Barriers, safety nets, anchorage points, work positioning systems, rescue planning, rope grabs, vertical lifelines, SRLs, temporary horizontal lifelines, harness fitting, lanyard use, equipment inspection, and pass/fail removal criteria.
